Backpacking - Ramona Falls - June 30, 2009

Back to Backpacking Photo Gallery Main Page

Two Dusty Devas made their way to Ramona Falls for an overnighter. The trail was easy to follow and the bridge had recently been set in place over the Sandy River for hikers to go over. The weather was beautiful both days. Ramona Falls was lovely and cool and we hit the perfect time to take a few photos with the sunshine on it. The larger group campsite was available although it was pretty far from the creek. Enjoyed a freezer bag dinner and a wonderful campfire. Nightime was about 45 degrees but we were toasty warm in our tents. Hiking out the next day, we wandered down the Pacific Crest Trail a ways to admire the view of Mt Hood and the Sandy River.
