Although we were hiking in the latter part of July, there were still piles of snow for most of the way to the Wapiki Lake. The wildflowers were trying to bloom around the snow and were beautiful. We even saw a BIG cat print near the water and our campsite. The air temperature was quite chilly near the lake even though it was July. After our overnighter, we stopped in at the ice cave just outside Trout Lake. We were glad we had our headlamps with us!
